1st Post and 1st of Many.

Ok, so I am not really a blogger but I thought I would try something new today, as I feel it is a new day in many aspects in my life. Hi, my name is Corey and I am a student at Bryant University. I am a gamer and that is probably the first thing people that know me associate me with.

First off the title is a reference to the nWo of wcw and wwf wrestling days, I love the whole storyline of the nWo and how it was Incorporated to wrestling so it was a fitting title to my new blog. Also I am planning on forming a gaming group for achievements and overall community that will resolve around the name of the New World Order.

Ok now onto the first reason I decided to start blogging today and that resolves around my gaming. I recently changed my gamertag today to I Th3 Rock I from Th3 l337 H4x0r.

Th3 l337 h4x0r though it was a great name to me was starting to hurt me in a few ways. First of all, Th3 l337 h4x0r was a reference to my first clan in Halo 2 and gaming experience over Xbox Live which changed my life for ever, changing me from just normal gamer to an xbox gamer and dedicated fanboy.

I started gaming, when I was 5 years old playing Sega genesis and games such as Busby, and TMNT. These games made me love and appreciate gaming but gaming wasn't so important to me until N64. The N64 was revolutionary to me providing me with my first Mario game, and my first real entry into gaming culture. I then moved on through the years from N64 to PS1 to Dreamcast to Gamecube before finally falling in love with xbox.

My first xbox game was Burnout 3, and I played that game like none other before. With the introduction to Xbox Live, I was introduced to competitive online gaming for the first time. I am a very competitive person and racing around taking out other peoples cars was a thrill like no other and in this game which I wracked up hundreds of hours, I met new friends that I would have for years to come.

These friends led me to Halo 2, my first FPS experience and another changing experience of my life. In Halo I formed a clan with my friends known as Blacklisted and we climbed the leaderboards with our names l337 h4x0r #, counting up through 10. (I was l337 h4x0r 4 btw) Anyways from there I fell in love with xbox and halo in general and when xbox 360 launched in 2005, I made sure I got my first 360 on DAY 1.

It was better then Christmas and I loved every minute of it from NBA 2k6 to Call of Duty 2, I found my gaming passion rejuvenized. In the first few days, I was the only one of my friends with a 360 and I discovered something called gamerscore. At first I didn't know what it really was; me and my friends questioned each other on its purpose but all i knew is I wanted more.

Within the first few months I was a gaming fiend, playing every game I could and loving every minute and every achievement unlock I received. I had now come across achieve360points and mygamercard and was trying my best to assert myself on the leaderboards. No matter how hard I tried though I never really made an impact and realized that I was dealing with more experienced and dedicated gamers then myself. For the next year I kept gaming and going for gamerscore until I ran across a game known as Final Fantasy XI.

FFXI was a new game to me and a new genre in the form of MMORPG. I loved it and my gamerscore subsided. This new game took up most of my time and the gamerscore in it for most mortal men is really time consuming. So my avid quest for gamerscore at this time ended really around 30,000.

As new games came out over the last few years, I still found myself playing FFXI and trying to gain gamerscore but no where near how I strived to do so before. My current gamerscore is almost 70,000 and I still love playing games and getting achievements.

With the start today, I am restarting my quest for achievements. With a new gamertag and a new attitude, I hope to get back into achieving like I have been before.

Sorry for that long explanation folks but as a gamer and its importance to me I thought as a first post it was important to give this back story. Anywho I can go into my love of wrestling now but I won't bore you with that story now.

However, I will say Wrestling has always held a special place in my heart and though I know WWE is not completely real, what those athletes do to their bodies is real so I respect them for that. The main reason I watch wrestling is because of the stories and its humor which makes me smile all the time.

Anyways this has ends my first post, sorry if I bored you but most post won't be like this. Instead they will be blurbs on wrestling, gaming news, and updates on my gaming accomplishments. So look for these posts in the future as for now Arrivederci and see you in the promise land.
